The record holder: Don Shula’s 347 wins

Shula coached from 1963 to 1995, first with the Baltimore Colts and then for 26 seasons in Miami. He won 328 regular-season games and 19 in the playoffs for 347 total, along with two Super Bowls and six conference titles. Belichick and Halas: the chasers who fell short

Bill Belichick built his 333 wins largely with the New England Patriots, adding a record 31 playoff victories and six Super Bowl titles. Andy Reid is the one current coach with a genuine path to the record. He reached 307 combined wins through the 2025 playoffs, becoming just the fourth coach past 300, and he remains in charge of the Kansas City Chiefs. Sitting 40 wins behind Shula, Reid would need several more strong seasons, but at his pace it is no longer unthinkable.
